Like a broken record, another small but mighty vintage (Mother Nature again!). The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is structured, bright and fruit forward, with earthy aromas of cassis and dark cherry. Lucious ripe berry juiciness and a hint of anise linger on the finish. Balanced oak, tannins and acidity are achieved once again. After 18 months of aging in 40% new French oak barrels, this wine was bottled in the midst of Harvest 2021 and is tasting amazing right now.
Finally, a vintage post drought! The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon conjures dreams of braised short ribs and holiday baked goods. Loaded with aromas and flavors of tart cherry and plum, this Cabernet is rich and audacious (my friend Miriam helped me with that big word!), with balanced tannins and integrated oak. This is a Cab you can drink TONIGHT! Or you can cellar it, but why wait? After 18 months of aging in 40% new French oak barrels, this wine was bottled on the second day of Summer in 2020.
We just love our ORGANICALLY FARMED one-acre vineyard, planted in front of a friend’s house in ’02. This is our 16th vintage from the Admiral’s Vineyard, and it continues to impress! The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc was harvested on September 1st and was a little bit riper than more recent vintages! This vintage is full of bright citrus flavors, with a refreshing crispness and nice minerality. This is my “go to” wine while prepping dinner!
Our 12th vintage from the Admiral’s Vineyard! We returned to picking earlier while acids are still super bright and sugars are not as sweet, then pressed whole cluster and fermented cold in stainless steel. The 2017 vintage is crisp and bright, with nice minerality and citrus notes. This is your go to wine for those warm summer evenings!
