Dear Friends and Family, Good food in Long Beach? It's true! Do you need a reason to plan a trip to Southern California? Fora is serving up some of the finest food we have tasted anywhere! This intimate Long Beach restaurant has been of big supporter of Five Vintners Wines and of other small wine producers from throughout the world. Hans and Elliot are meticulous about their wine and food pairings and always put together an amazing menu - this will be our second winemaker dinner at Fora! Krisi will be pouring her wines - including the not yet released 2005 Admiral's Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc - the maiden voyage from the vineyard she planted in 2002. The now famous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah will be there too. She might even pour a little bit of her dad's wine with dessert - a 2005 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc from Raymond Vineyard & Cellar. When is it already? OK, OK! The main event is happening on July 31st - that is a Monday. The wine will start flowing at 6 with passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served at 7. The price is a very manageable $65 per person. The restaurant is small (read intimate) so get your name on the list early - or you might have to cook your own dinner that night! Hope to see you there! |
