' The Bounty of Fall

Hello Wine Lovers,

Fall has officially arrived in the Napa Valley.  Temperatures have cooled and we have already had some rain.  However, the most telling autumnal feature is the aroma throughout the valley.  The sweet smell of harvested grapes and earthy tones of fermentation permeate the air up and down the Silverado Trail.  Crush is an amazing process and its fun to see yet another Napa summer captured so beautifully in wine.

If your cellar or wine closet has thinned over the summer, now is the perfect time to stock up.  With temperatures cooling, the risk of cooking wine during shipment has diminished.

The 2002 Syrah has been receiving a lot of attention at recent tastings as the aging process has balanced the fruit and tannins to create an amazing food wine.  The 2004 Zinfandel is a zestier wine that warms the palette on its own or can be nicely paired with spicy food.

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon has all of the merits of an incredible Napa appellation cab without an extravagant price.  In fact, the Wine Spectator numbers showed it to be the highest rated Napa Cab under $50.

Lastly, the 2006 Admiral's Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is still the wine we reach for the most.  It is such a great appetizer and light fare wine that we drink through our personal allocation early in the year.

With promotion code 311007 we will pay for the shipping on orders of 6 bottles or more through the month of October.  As always, we will give you a 10% discount on orders of 12 bottles or more!

Have a colorful autumn,

Krisi & Kirk
