The 2021 vintage is round and luscious, with loads of earthiness and sweet tobacco on the nose. Balanced tannins and acidity are the hallmark of this wine once again, with a bit more toasted oak evident in this vintage. Still a blend from two vineyards on Stice and Zinfandel Lanes, this vintage represents an increase in production from an acre replanted in 2014. After 22 months of aging in 40% new French oak barrels, this wine was bottled in December 2023 and is ready to drink now, but will age nicely.
Bigger is better, right? This is riper, juicier and has more pepper spice than prior vintages while maintaining balance. The 2023 vintage was a great one for Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley, demonstrating a depth of character, big mouth feel and bold flavors! Aging for 18 months in 20% new French Oak barrels adds richness and hint of toasty caramel flavors and aromas. Enjoy with your hearty pasta dishes, grilled sausages and pork tenderloin.
We just love our ORGANICALLY FARMED one-acre vineyard, planted in front of a friend’s house in ’02. This is our 20th vintage from the Admiral’s Vineyard, and it continues to impress! The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc was harvested on September 4th and was a generous vintage with bright citrus flavors, a refreshing crispness and nice minerality. This is my “go to” wine while prepping dinner!
